Frequently Asked Questions

Hello, and thank you so much for selecting Organic Beauty by Eve to be your PMU (permanent make up) provider. The following are FAQ's I have gathered to give you as much information on PMU.

What is Micro-blading?

This is the process of inserting pigment into the basal layer of the epidermis. It is a form of tattooing, though semi-permanent ink. Creating the illusion of hair strokes between the brows.

What can I expect during my 3D Hair Stroke appointment?

You will come in and sign waivers, I will begin the topical numbing process, after all the longer you numb the better. While you are numbing for 15-20min we will have a consultation to discuss the desired brow shape you want to achieve and answer any and all questions. I will draw your outline, pick a color and being, your session will last anywhere from 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour.

Are 3D Hair Strokes suitable for any complexion?

Yes, this procedure can be done on any complexion, however the oiler the skin the more than likely more retouches will be needed.

Are 3D Hair Strokes painful?

Topical numbing cream is applied to ease the pain from a level of 1-10 (10 being highest) clients have said it is about a 3-5.

Are there safety issues with the 3D Hair Stroke procedure that I should be concerned with?

This procedure is done with the highest level of sterilization and sanitation which are regulated through the health department.

Here is my safety protocol:

  • Pre-sterilized disposable needles which are opened in front of client
  • Pre-sterilized disposable pigment cups
  • Disposable needle containment system
  • New gloves between client procedures and throughout your procedure
  • Chemical, paragon free organic baby wipes to clean area
  • New exam sheet placed on chair

How old do I have to be to get 3D Hair Strokes?

18 years of age

Can I get this done if I am pregnant?

To be on the safe side, let’s get clearance from your doctor 🙂

How long does it last?

Although 3D Eyebrow Micro-blading/Micro-shading is effective in most cases, no guarantee can be made that a specific client will last a specific duration of time as everyone’s ink retention is different, based on age, skin type and life style.

Will I need a retouch?

It is usual and advised to expect a Touch-Up after healing is completed.

In how long do I need to return for a touch up?

Retouches are to be done within 4 to 8 weeks for the best results.

How long is the Healing Process?

Typically anywhere from 7 to 10 Days

What should I avoid while I am healing?

No Water, Sweating, Swimming (Clorine), Any laser, chemical treatments or peelings, No Sun, Tanning beds, pools, some skin care products such as; Retin A, Renova, Alpha Hydroxy and Glycolic, Acids must not be used on treated areas. No Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi

How do I heal them?

Apply Aquaphor 2x per day (once in the A.M and once in the P.M) for the next 7 to 10 Days. Before showering apply a layer of Aquaphor to protect your eyebrows from moisture. During the shower keep your face away from the shower head.

Will scabbing occur?

You may begin to scab, make sure to stay away from: picking, peeling, or scratching of the micro pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment. Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post micro-blading procedure.

How do I prepare for the procedure?

No Smoking, Drinking alcohol in excess, No Aspirin or blood thinners 48 hours prior to appt.

How will look after the procedure?

Initially the color will appear more vibrant or darker compared to the end result. Usually within 5-7 days the color will fade 40-50%, soften and look more natural. The pigment is semi-permanent and will fade over time.

What should I expect during and after your micro-blading session?

Your new temporary eyebrow will go through several phases during the healing cycle. The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure and last from anywhere to 2-10days. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin, and has not yet settled in completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually. Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab, as this is excess pigment and/or body fluid that is naturally exiting your skin.

What should I do once I am healed?

Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly. If you still have open spaces fill then in, until I see you for your retouch.

You can now enjoy your beautiful new temporary eyebrows. You will simply love your new gorgeous fresh look!
