1. You can’t get your eyebrows microbladed by just anymore.

Microblading is a semi-permanent solution which lasts for at least one year. You don’t want to be stuck with unfavorable results for such a long time. You also want to be sure the salon performing the procedure is certified, trustworthy, and safe.

2. Book a consultation before the actual procedure.

With microblading, you have the choice to choose the shape of your brows. Checking in for a consultation with your salon of choice will allow you to go over potential brow shapes with a specialist. You can also cover any questions you may have before the appointment to be as prepared as possible on the day of your microblading procedure.

3. Your microblading procedure will begin with cleaning and filling.

You may want to go into your appointment makeup free so that your specialist has less cleaning to do, and they can fill your eyebrows quicker.

4. Before the microblading begins, you will have numbing cream sit on your eyebrows for 20 minutes.

To make your microblading appointment as comfortable as possible, your specialist will put a numbing cream on your eyebrows for about 20 minutes. During this time, your specialist will mix your custom pigment. The numbing cream will minimize, or even eliminate any painful feelings you may experience during the procedure.

5. Microblading is NOT the same as eyebrow tattooing

Many believe eyebrow tattooing and microblading are the same things. This is not the case. Microblading is a semi-permanent solution, meaning the ink used will fade over time. However, eyebrow tattooing is completely permanent.

6. The blade used for your procedure is made up of several small blades.

The blade used for microblading is unique to what you may be expecting. The blade used for the procedure is made from several small additional blades. These blades are so small that they are difficult to see with the naked eye. These small blades minimize pain and create natural hair like strokes.

7. Thanks to numbing cream, you can hardly feel the blade.

The numbing cream prevents you from feeling any pain from the blade for the first moments of the procedure. As time goes on and your numbing creams starts to wear off, the pain will feel very minimal. Those who have had the procedure before describing the feeling as poking from a sharp spoolie.

8. The procedure can take up to two hours

The longest your appointment will take is two hours. By the end of the procedure, you may start to feel the sting of the blade as your numbing cream wears off.

9. Your brows are the darkest and sorest right after the appointment.

At the end of your procedure, you may feel worried that your brows are too dark and too sore. Don’t worry though. Your brows will feel more comfortable over time, and the color will fade to look more natural shortly after as well.

10. You must care for your brows when it is all said and done.

If you don’t properly care for your microbladed eyebrows, the entire procedure could go to waste. The aftercare prevents premature fading and unnecessary pain. After your appointment, don’t get your eyebrows wet, sweaty or exposed to sunlight.
